HDHomeRun is Releasing An All-In-One DVR

Family Enjoying Movie Night At Home TogetherToday SiliconDust the parent company of HDHomeRun started to show off an all new all-in-one OTA DVR. The new Scribe Duo is an HDHomeRun device with a hard drive and DVR software built in. In the past you needed multiple devices to use the DVR feature with an HDHomeRun now you can get an HDHomeRun DVR all from a single device.

SiliconDust has not posted about this new device yet, but they have started to demo it for press. Cord Cutters News is meeting with Silicon Dust in a few hours but they already showed the new device to The Digital Media Zone, and this is what we learned.

The Scribe Duo should go on sale sometime in April. It will have a retail price of $199 and come with 1 TB hard drive that will allow you to record up to 150 hours of HDTV. You will also get a free year of HDHomeRun DVR service a $35 value.
