HBO Max Will Debut a ‘Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts’ Special Featuring Daniel Radcliffe and More Stars

Everyone stop what you’re doing and read this because it’s guaranteed to be more important. It’s been 20 years since the first movie featuring The Boy Who Lived premiered, and HBO Max is celebrating the iconic Harry Potter movie franchise with a special unscripted reunion featuring interviews and cast conversations. “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” will premiere January 1, 2022 and feature returning stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and more.

“It has been an incredible journey since the debut of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone film, and witnessing how it has evolved into this remarkable interconnected universe has been magical, to say the least,” said Tom Ascheim, President, Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults, and Classics. “This retrospective is a tribute to everyone whose lives were touched by this cultural phenomenon—from the talented cast and crew who poured their heart and soul into this extraordinary film franchise to the passionate fans who continue to keep the Wizarding World spirit alive 20 years later.”

In the mean time, if you’re looking for a sign to have a Harry Potter movie marathon, this is it. Besides being the best time of year to revisit the magic spells of Hogwarts, HBO Max now has every Harry Potter movie available for streaming.

That means all eight films are ready and waiting to be streamed, whether you watch them all in one long binge session of 19 hours and 39 minutes, or take a more paced approach with a movie a night for over a week, we won’t judge you either way.
