HBO Max announced today that it has signed a multi-year partnership with A24 to continue bringing A24 film titles to HBO and HBO Max just after they leave theaters.
The partnership follows the initial run of A24 titles hitting HBO Max and quickly finding their way to the streaming service’s Top Ten list. Data from HBO Max says that 70% of viewers who watch one A24 film returned to watch more, with those viewers streaming an average of four titles from the studio.
Along with new releases, HBO Max subscribers will have access to dozens of A24 films.
“A24 has been an incredible partner, bringing a slate of talented creative voices and an engaged audience base to the platform,” said Royce Battleman, Executive Vice President of Global Content Acquisitions. “Their bold storytelling perfectly complements the distinct programming offered on HBO Max.”
