More live basketball games are coming to HBO Max subscribers at the top of 2026.
Unrivaled, the player-owned, 3-on-3 women’s basketball league is returning to the streamer for a second season and will be bigger than ever. TNT Sports is bringing exclusive coverage with a four-night weekly slate, an expanded schedule, and star-driven storylines across TNT, TBS, and truTV, with simulstreams on HBO Max.
What’s New for Unrivaled Season 2
- Opening Night: Monday, January 5, features all eight clubs.
- Four-Night Expansion: Games now run Friday through Monday, creating a full weekend of Unrivaled action.
- No Back-to-Backs: The schedule removes regular-season back-to-back games for players, while keeping doubleheaders on each night.
- 56-Game Regular Season: 8 more games than last year’s inaugural season
The 2026 season tips off on Monday, January 5, with all eight clubs taking the floor. For the upcoming season, Unrivaled’s compressed, full-court 3-on-3 format returns with many of women’s basketball’s biggest names. Players include co-founder and MVP Napheesa Collier, WNBA Champion Chelsea Green, Kelsey Plum, Paige Bueckers, Kelsey Mitchell, Alyssa Thomas, co-founder Breanna Stewart, Natasha Cloud, among others. The league’s fast games, back-to-back doubleheaders, and stadium-style presentation make it ideal for weekend binge-watching.
Other standout events for Season 2 include:
- The 1-on-1 Tournament Presented by Sprite returns in mid-February (Feb. 11–14), adding a fast, high-drama side event to the season.
- Philly is Unrivaled (Jan. 30): a marquee tour stop at Xfinity Mobile Arena featuring hometown stars and national TV coverage.
- Playoffs & Championship: At the conclusion of the regular season, a six-team playoff format will follow, and the Unrivaled Championship is slated for Wednesday, March 4, on TNT/truTV/HBO Max.
