HBO Acquires Rights to Soderbergh Film

HBO Max has the rights for a Steven Soderbergh film with the working title Let them All Talk.

Soderbergh, known for films including Erin Brockovich, Traffic, and Oceans Eight, will direct the film and Deborah Eisenberg will write.

The cast of the film will include Meryl Streep, Gemma Chan, Candice Bergen, Dianne Wiest, and Lucas Hedges. Streep will play a notable author who reconnects with old friends to “to have some fun and heal old wounds,” said HBO Max.

“This is the kind of project where you just say yes, please sign me up,” said Sarah Aubrey, head of original content, HBO Max. “To work with Steven Soderbergh and this all-star cast led by Meryl Streep is thrilling and sets the standard for features at HBO Max.”

The movie has already started filming and continued filming will take place on the Queen Mary 2 ship.

HBO Max has been hard at work developing their slate of original content. The new streaming service from AT&T will launch in Spring 2020. For more information about HBO Max, read our post with everything we know about the upcoming streaming service.
