Harry Potter Will Leave HBO Max in August

When HBO Max launched in May, the streaming service included all eight of the Harry Potter movies in its content lineup. The addition was a surprise to fans who had only been told that the films would be available “at some point.”

Now, HBO Max is set to lose the slate of titles, based on the wildly popular book series by J.K Rowling, at the end of August.

On August 25, HBO Max will lose the following titles: “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1,” Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” and “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.”

HBO Max will also lose “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” on August 28 and Dumb & Dumber,” “Full Metal Jacket,” “Good Will Hunting,” “Love Actually,” and “Kill Bill: Volume 1” and “Kill Bill: Volume 2” on August 31.
