Happy Gilmore 2 Tees Off on Netflix: Stream The Long-Awaited Sequel Now

Get ready to grip it and rip it. Happy Gilmore 2 has officially hit Netflix. Nearly 30 years after the original comedy classic first swung into pop culture history, Adam Sandler is back on the green as Happy Gilmore, and this time, the laughs are just as loud as the drives.

Directed by Murder Mystery’s Kyle Newacheck and written by original co-writer Tim Herlihy, the sequel brings back some of the original’s most beloved characters — Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller, and Christopher McDonald among them — while adding fresh faces like Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny), Sandler’s daughters Sadie and Sunny, and cameos from pro golfers including Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler.

According to Tudum, the time was finally right. “There’s been a wave of golf [popularity], so it feels like the movie is timely, just like it did in ’96,” said Newacheck.

Old Rivalries, New Laughs

The new film finds Happy still swinging big and still an outsider in the world of country club elites. Expect familiar rivalries, underdog heart, and plenty of callbacks to the original, including another run-in with Shooter McGavin. Whether you’re here for the nostalgia or the cameos, this sequel delivers a winning round.
