Hallmark Movies Now has Reached 1 Million Subscribers

Crown Media has announced that its streaming offering Hallmark Movies Now has surpassed the 1 million subscriber mark. This subscription milestone was reached with help in part from the platform’s annual Movies and Mistletoe programming event that started in October. Since the event launched last month, the platform has seen a surge in growth, earning a 128% increase in installs.

“With Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Miracles of Christmas firmly established as the country’s top linear providers of heartwarming holiday movies, Hallmark Movies Now has built on those traditions, becoming the go-to streaming destination for the very best in seasonal entertainment,”  said Chad Harris, SVP, new media & innovation, Crown Media Family Networks. “Offering a well-rounded, curated selection of signature content, Movies & Mistletoe is a platform where viewers can escape – anytime, anywhere – and tap into the uniquely feel-good experience that Hallmark holiday programming has been providing for over a decade.”

Movies and Mistletoe gives fans a new lineup of Christmas movies for viewers to watch on-demand via Hallmark Movies Now, with over 80 fan-favorite holiday films debuting throughout the season.

In addition to seasonal programming, Hallmark Movies Now has built a huge and loyal fanbase with its beloved original scripted series, When Calls the Heart. The first three episodes of season 3 will drop on the platform on New Years Day, with new episodes rolling out every Friday through January and into February.

Hallmark Movies Now is available on Roku, Amazon, Apple TV, and was just added as an add-on option for Youtube TV last week.
