Google Will Launch Google Play Pass This Week

This week, Google will be launching Google Play Pass, a subscription to Google Play’s apps, games, and digital content.

Play Pass will be available to Android devices in the US this week and will be available in additional countries soon, according to Google’s press release. You can get started with a 10-day free trial and subscribe for just $4.99/month. And for a limited time, you can get Play Pass for only $1.99/month for your first 12 months, then $4.99/month. This offer ends October 10, 2019 at 11:59pm PT.

With Play Pass, you’ll have access to over 350 apps and games with no ads, no in-app purchases, and no upfront fees. Look for well-known titles including Stardew Valley, Risk, and Terraria. Beyond games, Play Pass will also include apps like FaceTune, AccuWeather, and PicStitch. More titles will be added monthly.

There’s plenty of family friendly content, including Toca Boca and My Town to keep the kids interested without worrying about age-inappropriate content. As with Google Play Family Library, you can assign a family manager to share the Play Pass subscription with up to five other family members. Each can use their own profile for a personalized experience.

When Play Pass launches, you can start a free trial by opening the Play Store app and looking for Play Pass. Learn more here.
