Google Search is Adding Personalized TV and Movie Recommendations

Google is making is easier to decide what to watch, with personalized search results.
Google announced that the feature will work by first having you select which TV and movie streaming subscriptions you’re currently subscribed to. Then, when searching for phrases like “what to watch” or “good shows to watch” on Google, you’ll get personalized recommendations for shows and movies available to you.
When you start your search on mobile, you’ll see a button for “top picks for you” which will give you a carousel of recommendations. Then, you’ll swipe left or right (similar to a dating app) to help Google get an idea of what content you’re interested in and what you don’t want to watch.
Along with the recommendations, Google will show you how to watch. Tap on a show or movie for a list of each provider that offers the content to rent, buy, or watch for free.
Whether you’re planning a movie night or looking for your next binge worthy TV show, this new feature is here to help.
