Google ADT-3 Android TV Developer Kit is Now Available for $79

The Android TV Developer Device (ADT-3) is now available for purchase on the Askey website for $79 as of this morning.

Google first announced the device in December, mentioning the ADT-3 in a blog post about an Android 10 update for Android TV. At that time, Google said that the device would be available at the beginning of this year and that tests with the device will impact new Android TV devices in the works for 2020.

Here’s the product description for the developer kit:

ADT-3 Developer Kit is an Android TV™ streaming media player device for software developers to validate their applications on the latest version of the OS. The device runs Android 10 and is certified to pass CTS, GTS, and VTS. It is not a hardware reference design, but represents a stable, certified example of an Android TV device for 3rd party application developers. The device is not intended for consumer use and should only be used by developers.
