So I wanted to take a moment to answer these popular questions for everyone.
When will you be able to get the DIRECTV NOW DVR?
Back in July AT&T announced plans to add a DVR to DIRECTV NOW. Around the end of July or the start of August it started to roll out the DVR beta to a group of testers.
As best we can tell AT&T is not accepting any additional testers at this time. It will likely roll out the beta to more users at some point but that will likely come from the pool of testers who already applied to join.
So if you did not fill out the survey it is unlikely you will get in on the beta; however, there is still some good news. AT&T says the DVR will roll out this fall to all DIRECTV NOW subscribers. So it is likely that you will not have to wait that long to get access to the DIRECTV NOW DVR.
When will Hulu’s live TV service come to Roku?
Hulu’s live TV service coming to Roku is probably the second most popular question we get right now. The good news is we can confirm that Hulu has started beta testing its new Roku channel that will add support for Hulu’s live TV service.

Hulu has not set any date for when the Roku Channel Store will update to include the new Hulu Channel. From looking at the beta it looks like Hulu is getting close to launching soon.
