fuboTV vs Hulu with Live TV: Which is the Better Deal? We Take a Look (Updated August 2019)

We’re back with another update to our series of comparison posts. With these posts, we’re breaking down the details of each streaming service to help you decide which is the right choice for you.

Today, we’re taking a look at fuboTV and Hulu with Live TV.

Plans and Pricing

fuboTV doesn’t have multiple packages to choose from but does have a standard plan with a lengthy list of add-ons to customize your viewing experience. A fuboTV subscription costs $54.99/month.

While Hulu has several subscription options for ad supported and ad-free viewing, only the Hulu with Live plan offers live channels in addition to the on-demand content you’ll get with the other plans. The Hulu with Live TV plan costs $44.99 per month. You can also start out with Hulu’s free trial for 7 days.

Channel and Price Comparison

With fuboTV, you’ll get 93 channels for $54.99/month, making the cost 59 cents per channel.

With Hulu with Live TV, you’ll pay $44.99 for 68 channels, bringing the cost to $0.67 per channel. (Keep in mind that this doesn’t include the content you’ll get from Hulu’s on-demand library.)

Channel Lineups

These are the channels you’ll get with a fuboTV subscription.

When you subscribe to Hulu with Live TV, you’ll have access to the entire on-demand library from Hulu (including Hulu Originals) and the following live channels:

Simultaneous Viewing

With a fuboTV account, you can stream on up to 2 devices simultaneously. If you upgrade with the Family Share Add-On, you’ll be able to watch on up to 3 devices at once.

Hulu with Live TV allows users to watch on two devices simultaneously. You can also add the Unlimited Screens add-on for an additional monthly fee. With that, you can watch on as many devices that are connected to your home network as you want. With the add-on, you can also watch on 3 mobile devices simultaneously.

Cloud DVR

Each fuboTV subscription includes 30 hours of Cloud DVR storage. Recordings are saved indefinitely. There’s also an option to upgrade to Cloud DVR Plus, giving you 500 hours of Cloud DVR storage for an additional $9.99/month.

Every Hulu with Live TV subscription comes with 50 hours of Cloud DVR storage to record and watch content. You can also upgrade to the Enhanced Cloud DVR package to increase your storage to 200 hours.
