FuboTV Tweaks Cloud DVR, Family Share Options

Over the weekend, fuboTV updated its various plans and add-on options to create new tiers to its Cloud DVR and Family Share upgrades. The 500GB DVR add-on, which was included in some plans or available for an extra monthly fee, has been replaced with a 250-hour option. Meanwhile, fuboTV has also added a higher-end 1,000-hour Cloud DVR choice for an added $16.99 per month.

The company’s two Family Plans (starting at $64.99 per month) and the $29.99/month fubo Español package each get the 250-hour DVR included in their monthly price, replacing the earlier 500-hour cloud DVR that used to come standard with those plans. At the high-end, the $79.99-per-month Elite plan gets a standard 1,000-hour DVR. The $59.99/month Standard Plan continues on with its included 30-hour Cloud DVR.

On the Family Share side of things, fuboTV has added what it’s calling Family Share Max, which allows users to stream to up to five screens at one time. That add-on runs for $9.99 per month, while the three-screen Family Share plan continues on as a $5.99 monthly add-on. The two Family Plans come with the three-screen option included. However, the fubo Español plan is limited to two simultaneous screens unless you upgrade.

Overall, it looks like fuboTV is giving its users a few more options to choose from, even if one of those features (the Cloud DVR 250 add on) is a downgrade from earlier options. The live TV streaming service market continues to be a highly competitive area, with services like YouTube TV and, indeed, fuboTV announcing price hikes earlier this year. In any case, we’ll continue to monitor for any future changes and keep you up to date.
