fuboTV Partners with Google Cloud

Yesterday fuboTV announced that they have partnered with Google Cloud to power live streaming and video on-demand to their 250,000 US subscribers. Right now, fuboTV offers 100+ live national channels, over 560 live local channels, and thousands of on-demand titles. FuboTV was also the first live TV streaming service in the United States to offer 4K HDR streaming.

Google Cloud said they look forward to helping “fuboTV scale with new content, add new features to its platform and expand its business in the months and years to come.”

“Google Cloud has helped us build a stable, cloud-native streaming service from the ground up, in less than two years. This team has truly understood our needs as a startup to work nimbly, swiftly and cost-efficiently. As we continue to reach new viewers around the world and evolve our service to anticipate their demands, we know we can depend on Google Cloud to help us have a solid, state-of-the-art offering,” said Geir Magnusson Jr., CTO at fuboTV.

For the average user, this may not be something you notice. What you may notice is improved streaming now that fuboTV uses Google Cloud.
