FuboTV is Testing a Web Feature that Lets You Keep Watching While Browsing The Site

FuboTV is working on implementing a feature to let you keep watching your video while exploring other channels and programs on the site with your web browser. This feature was previously only available while watching on the fuboTV app on devices like Apple TV and Roku. Now, fuboTV is working on expanding this capability to web browser viewing as well for when you’re watching your favorite shows on your laptop or computer.

FuboTV has developed an “always on” mini-player so you can minimize your video and let it play while browsing other content on the site. This makes it feel more like “real TV” where you can go through the guide while your channel is still playing. Currently, fuboTV has deployed this feature to about 50 percent of users as part of a test group. Depending on the feedback they get from users, hopefully, fuboTV will be rolling out this feature to all users “soon.”

This feature comes shortly after fuboTV announced its recent price hike along with competing streamers like YouTube TV. fuboTV ended 2019 with over 315,000 subscribers and reported a 96% increase in revenue after merging with FaceBank Group.
