fuboTV is Launching a Free Ad-Supported Sports Network Today on XUMO & More

Earlier this year we learned that fuboTV was working on a free ad-supported streaming network. Later today fuboTV is launching this channel called the fubo Sports Network.

This new network will offer sports fans sports news, sporting events, and exclusive programming. A lot of this content at first will be previously aired content and fuboTV’s CEO says they are working on rights for some niche-oriented sports. You will also find sports-related movies and a weekly sports talk show.

fuboTV plans to open the fubo Sports Network studios in August. The goal of the network is to become a fully scheduled network that will be edgier than its competitors on the market today. fuboTV opens to generate $5 million in ad revenue in the first year of the new sports network.

“There’s an opportunity to cater to the demand for free content,” said David Gandler, fuboTV’s co-founder and CEO told Variety. “We want to be able to make sure we tap into that part of the spectrum in terms of entry-level video.”

Right now you can find this new fubo Sports Network on XUMO and on fuboTV’s live TV streaming service.
