fuboTV Hires Away a Sling TV Executive

Today it was announced that fuboTV has hired away Sling TV’s ad sales executive Chris Flatley. Mr. Flatley ran Sling TV’s ad sales and had great success there. Now he is moving over to be fuboTV’s head of ad sales.

“Chris brings solid experience leading ad sales for streaming and video platforms, and we’re very excited to have him join the fubo team,” said Brown, in a statement. “A dual revenue model – advertising and subscriptions – will propel virtual MVPDs like fuboTV to profitability, and growing the advertising business is a priority for fuboTV this year.”

This comes as fuboTV recently added Viacom networks. This means Viacom’s nine main networks – BET, CMT, COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Paramount Network, TV Land and VH1 – will soon be included in fuboTV’s base package, “fubo.” Other Viacom channels will also be available in the premier package, “fubo Extra,” including BET Her, BET Jams, BET Soul, Logo, MTV2, MTV Classic, MTV Live, mtvU, Nick Music, Nicktoons, and TeenNick.

Now it looks like fuboTV is hoping to use the new channels and a new ad executive to help grow the service.
