fuboTV is making some changes to its channel lineup and, with those changes, will come a price increase.

“Sometimes to help us bring you new channels at the best value, and to deliver premium features like live sports in 4K, we need to remove other channels and adjust subscription prices,” fubo said in an email to subscribers. “Turner networks will be leaving fuboTV as of July 1, 2020, and subscription prices will be changing.”

As of early Wednesday morning, fuboTV is no longer carrying TNT, TBS, CNN, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, truTV, HLN, TCM, CNN Español and CNN International.

News of the end of the carriage deal between fuboTV and Turner parent company WarnerMedia comes just after the streaming service signed a deal with Disney to add channels including ESPN, Disney, ABC, and National Geographic to the lineup.

fuboTV wrote in the email “We’re excited to add ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ABC, Disney Channel, Disney Jr, Disney XD, Freeform, FX, FXX, Nat Geo and, depending on your area and package, potentially more Disney networks to your fuboTV subscription this August. This will include live channels as well as thousands of on-demand movies and shows.”

With the updates, the cost of fuboTV will increase and some subscriptions will change. One Cord Cutters News reader received an email saying that they would be migrated to the Family Bundle plan with an extra simultaneous stream, 500 hours of DVR space, and a new price of $64.99/month.

Another CCN reader’s email simply said their subscription cost would be increasing by $5/month, effective at the start of the next billing cycle after August 1, 2020.

fuboTV ended 2019 with over 315,000 subscribers and reported a 96% increase in revenue after merging with FaceBank Group. Subscriptions start at $55/month, on par with Hulu with Live and AT&T TV NOW. With the loss of these channels, fuboTV will be the only one of the three without WarnerMedia networks.
