fuboTV Brings Back Monthly Subscriptions

Just eleven days after removing monthly plans for new subscribers and introducing quarterly pricing, fuboTV has ended its pricing “experiment” and has brought back monthly subscription plans.

On February 6, fuboTV listed quarterly subscriptions on its website. A fuboTV spokesperson confirmed that monthly packages were temporarily unavailable, saying “We have temporarily made our channel packages available to new subscribers as quarterly plans. We’re always experimenting with our channel package offerings to better understand what our subscribers like.”

The plans started at $194.96 for three months and had to be prepaid.

Just a few days later, there was talk on social media of fuboTV bringing back the normal monthly pricing. The short-lived test likely means the experiment didn’t play out the way fubo hoped.

The live TV streaming service reached 1.1 million subscribers by the end of 2021, according to preliminary Q4 results shared by the company last month. “fuboTV’s strong preliminary fourth quarter 2021 results close out a pivotal year where we made meaningful advancements against our mission to define a new category of interactive sports and entertainment television,” said David Gandler, co-founder and CEO, fuboTV in that announcement.
