Fubo Stops Selling Its Premier Package to New Subscribers

If you are thinking about getting Fubo, you may have noticed one fewer plan to pick from. Fubo’s Premier plan, one of the higher-end packages, is no longer for sale to new customers. Current customers of its Premier plan can keep that package but will be unable get it back if they switch plans.

Fubo has a long history of adding and dropping packages depending on the time of year. Often around the start of the NFL season it will change its Ultimate package.

The other big change Fubo makes is to drop its monthly plans and change over to quarterly plans for new customers around big events like the Super Bowl. This limits the ability of customers from using Fubo for just a month to watch the big game.

The reasoning behind this move is unknown as many of the major sporting events coming up are not offered on Fubo.

This timing suggests Fubo is looking more long term with this change as it may want to push customers to other packages that may make them more likely to subscribe.

Fubo has confirmed to Cord Cutters News the change and says they will continue to evaluate what packages they offer to customers.

Update: An earlier version of this story listed Fubo’s Ultimate package. That package is no longer offered. We are very sorry for the confusion.
