Fubo Partners With The Seattle Mariners

Today Fubo announced a partnership with the Seattle Mariners to be the official partners of the Mariners MLB team. This follows a similar agreement with the Boston Red Sox, St Louis Cardinals, and Cleveland Garudians announced earlier this year.

“Fubo is further connecting with baseball fans through direct partnerships with several MLB clubs, and we are proud to add the Seattle Mariners to this growing list,” said Yale Wang, senior vice president, marketing, Fubo. “We’re looking forward to engaging with Seattle Mariners fans this season both at T-Mobile Park and as they watch Mariners live on Fubo.”

“We are proud to partner with Fubo and provide our fans with even more opportunities to engage with Mariners baseball,” said Chris Voigt, senior vice president, corporate partnerships, Seattle Mariners. “Fubo’s extensive baseball coverage ensures our fans don’t miss a pitch this season.”

Fubo allows fans to stream streams Mariners games through regional sports networks (RSNs), local broadcast networks, and national sports networks (ESPN and FS1) as well as MLB Network, MLB Strike Zone, and MLB.TV.

In addition to its leading sports coverage, Fubo also streams popular live entertainment and news programming and features more than 40,000 TV shows and movies on-demand each month.

Fubo recently reported total revenues were up 34% year over year in the 1st quarter of 2023 to $316.5 million. In total, though, the net loss for the 1st quarter of 2023 was $83.4 million. The good news is that is an improvement from the $128.4 million they lost during the same period of 2022.

Fubo says in Q2 2023, they project 1,120,000 to 1,140,000 new subscribers, representing 19% year-over-year growth at the midpoint, and revenue of $292.5 to $297.5 million, representing 36% year-over-year growth at the midpoint.

Fubo is hoping its MLB partnerships will help it expand its subscriber base.
