Yesterday, Fubo announced it will raise prices for its streaming service next month with this price hike comes a new feature. Now Fubo customers will be able to have unlimited DVR storage included in their base package. The new no-limit DVR will roll out in the next couple of months, according to a statement sent to Cord Cutters News

This comes as starting February 1, the basic packages will increase by $5 a month, and regional sports fees will see a hike of $1 a month. The streamer said the decision was based on the “growing package of sports, news, and entertainment programming” it offers.

In 2023, Fubo launched 70 new channels, including ten new radio stations, to its base package. The company plans to add more this year and will update its DVR to record unlimited hours of content at no additional cost.

Here is the full announcement about the changes that was sent to subscribers:

Dear Subscriber,

We’ve been focused on bringing you a growing package of sports, news and entertainment programming so there’s always something for everyone in your household to watch. In 2023, we added more than 70 channels including 10 new radio channels to our base package with more on the way. This year we will be updating our DVR to unlimited hours at no additional cost, which will start rolling out in the next couple of months, meaning no need to worry about managing your DVR anymore. Record away.

We strive to provide the best programming at the best value. However, from time to time our programming partners raise the prices they charge us and unfortunately we are forced to pass some of that increase onto our customers. The price of your Fubo base plan will be increasing by $5 per month and your regional sports fee will be increasing by $1, all billed quarterly. These increases will take effect on or after your next billing cycle, starting February 1, 2024.
