Fubo is Adding a Feature That YouTube TV Subscribers Love

Yesterday Fubo started emailing some of its subscribers about a new feature they are rolling out. This new feature is something YouTube TV has had for some time and even won awards for. Now you can watch instant highlights of select sporting events.

Did you miss the first half of a game, or just want to see quick highlights? Fubo’s new instant highlights feature is currently being tested on NBA games. This feature will quickly show you all the highlights of a game, even one that is currently in progress. This will allow you to catch up quickly on a game in progress and watch the ending live.

Fubo has confirmed to Cord Cutters News that this feature is currently only on Fire TVs and Android/Google TV. Look for this feature to come to more devices soon.

To use Instant Highlights, you first need to set a game to record before tipoff. During the game, access FanView and select the instant highlights widget, then select play.

This comes as Fubo is also offering subscribers the ability to get some extra channels if they switch to quarterly payments instead of monthly. If you are on one of Fubo’s Pro plans and are paying monthly, you may want to check your email. Fubo has started to email customers offering them the ability to get more sports channels that, includes MLB Network, NHL Network, NBA TV, Tennis Channel, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNU, and ESPN News for free if you switch to quarterly payments.

So far, it seems that this offer is going out to Fubo customers on their basic plans that are also paying monthly. Sadly if you didn’t get the offer, there doesn’t seem to be a way to ask for it.

Fubo calls this plan the Pro plan, which works out to be $74.99 a month but paid as $224.97 for three months.
