Fubo Adds New Live Music Radio Channels

This week, Fubo quietly added live radio channels offering 24/7 music on multiple channels. Details are still very thin as the guide data is still blank for these channels.

Cord Cutters News reached out to Fubo for details on the new music channels, and Fubo declined to comment about the new music channels. It is also unknown who is supplying the music for these new channels.

Update: Fubo has removed these channels. We are waiting for a reply to our request for details about them.

Music channels became popular with cable TV networks as they tried to claim a higher number of channels. By offering dozens of music channels, cable networks could inflate the number of channels offered. These music channels became very popular with many as they offered commercial-free music.

It is unknown how many music channels Fubo will offer as the channel seem to be slowly being added to the service.

This comes as in late October, Fubo confirmed to Cord Cutters News that it have added two new channels, including KTVK and KPHE that are now live. Also, KJZZ will be coming to Fubo, but is not live yet, according to a report from the NBA. This is great news as these channels will include more local sports, including the Jazz on KJZZ.

Here is how Fubo describes these new channels:

KTVK (Phoenix, AZ) – Arizona’s Family 3TV is the premier local news, weather, sports, and entertainment destination in Arizona. We serve all Arizonans from our studios in the Phoenix metro area, northern Arizona communities from our bureau in Flagstaff, and soon southwestern Arizona from our new Yuma bureau.

KPHE (Phoenix / Tucson / Yuma, AZ and Albuquerque, NM) – Arizona’s Family Sports (AZFS) is your TV home for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Rising and AIA High School Championship sports. All your favorite teams now on your favorite channel.

This all comes as Fubo rolled out a new data center. Fubo hopes it will help improve the speed and quality of its video delivery.

The update should help Fubo better handle the demands of live streaming, leading to a smoother experience for customers. The change may not be noticeable right away, but could pay dividends as Fubo grows its audience and needs to serve more subscribers.

One major possibility for Fubo with this update is the ability to reduce the delay between streaming and cable TV. Higher speed and lower lag times means quicker loading streams, getting you to your favorite channels faster.

David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of Fubo, announced the news on X.
