FOX Will Air The NFL Draft This Year

Three happy young men watching football game and keeping arms raised while sitting on sofaFor the first time in a long time, the NFL draft will return to broadcast TV. This week it was announced that FOX and the NFL network have teamed up to bring the NFL Networks coverage to FOX affiliates around the United States.

With this deal, FOX will air live coverage of the first 3 rounds of the NFL Draft for the next 5 years. This will be co-produced with the NFL Network and will use FOX NFL talent on the broadcast.

FOX is reportedly hoping that sports and news will be more resistant to cord cutting because Americans still largely watch news and sports live. Now it looks like FOX is taking one more step to focus more on sports with their recent NFL Thursday deal and now a deal to air the NFL Draft.

The good news is cord cutters will not need live TV streaming service to watch the NFL Draft this year. All you will need is an antenna and your local FOX affiliate.
