Forget Halloween, Hallmark Channel has Four New Christmas Movies Starting October 31, 2019

Hallmark Countdown to Christmas

Time to put away the Halloween candy and start decking the halls because Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is giving fans an early Christmas with four new movies premiering this week.

These movies kick off the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Miracles of Christmas and 10th anniversary of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas programming events.

Hallmark Channel continues to prove it’s dominance as America’s favorite source for holiday programming, as evidenced by Saturday’s premiere of “Christmas Wishes & Mistletoe Kisses.” The original movie gained more than 3.8 million viewers and propelled Hallmark Channel to rank as the highest-rated and most-watched non-news cable network throughout the weekend among Households, Women 25-54, Total Viewers according to Nielsen ratings.

Thursday, October 31

NOSTALGIC CHRISTMAS
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Original Movie World Premiere (9 p.m. ET/PT)
Stars: Brooke D’Orsay (“Royal Pains,” “Christmas in Love”) and Trevor Donovan (“90210,” “Love, Fall and Order”)
Anne Garrison’s (D’Orsay) annual holiday visit to the small town in Maine where she grew up is somewhat bittersweet this year. With her dad set to sell his toy store and retire from his wood-carving career, and the town’s lumber mill up for sale, this will probably be her last Christmas there. But when Anne is drafted and paired with handsome local widower Keith McClain (Donovan) to co-chair the town’s Christmas celebration, she begins to question what she really wants in life. Soon, Anne becomes torn between returning to her fast-paced career in New York and remaining in the small town to take over her dad’s hand-carved wooden toy business and seeing where a burgeoning romance with Keith might lead.

Friday, November 1

TWO TURTLE DOVES

Neuroscientist Dr. Sharon Harper (DeLoach), who studies loss and grief, returns to her childhood home following the death of her beloved grandmother to get her affairs in order. She becomes reacquainted with Sam (Rady), the disheartened estate lawyer and single dad, grieving for his late wife. It’s both Christmas and her late grandmother’s Will and Testament that challenge Sharon with a quest for a long-lost family heirloom that leads them both to confront old memories with making new ones. When she is faced with choosing between her past and her future, she rediscovers what the holiday –and life– is truly about

Cate (Sweetin) is the CEO of Merry & Bright, a struggling small-town candy cane factory. Gabe (Walker) is a New York consultant tasked with saving the company. With Christmas approaching, Gabe travels to the town, only to find Cate resenting his efforts to restructure her business. Though they initially clash, they soon develop feelings for each other. But when Gabe urges her to accept a high-profile investor’s suggestion to abandon the traditional methods of her business, Cate parts ways with him.  On Christmas Eve, Cate wonders if she’ll manage to save her factory and if she’ll ever find a holiday romance again.

Sunday, November 3

A CHRISTMAS SCAVENGER HUNT

Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere (8 p.m. ET/PT)
Stars: Kim Shaw (“The Lead,” “Saving Hope”), Kevin McGarry (“Random Acts of Christmas,” “When Calls the Heart”) and Tom Arnold (“NCIS: New Orleans,” Pegasus: Pony with a Broken Wing)

When Belinda (Shaw) returns home for Christmas, she sees Dustin (McGarry), who broke her heart.  “Accidentally” paired together by her dad (Arnold), who runs the Scavenger Hunt, the two rekindle their love solving clues and taking selfies with their tasks. Along the way, they take a tree to a reclusive gentleman, who Belinda visited with her mother. But Belinda is also home to purchase the town museum for a client who intends to build condos there. Conflicted, she wonders how to tell Dustin, the museum’s director.  It’ll take a Christmas miracle for their love to survive and for the museum to be saved.
