First Look: DIRECTV NOW’s DVR Beta on Roku Players & Roku TVs

Great news for Roku owners as this week AT&T started rolling the DIRECTV NOW Beta DVR to Roku players. Now for the first time, DIRECTV NOW’s Roku Beta testers can setup DVR recordings and watch them on Roku devices.

With this update every device DIRECTV NOW officially supports has access to the DIRECTV NOW DVR Beta. Though before you can access the DVR on the Roku beta you will need to update your Roku in the settings to get the most recent version of the DIRECTV NOW Roku Beta.

Attention Roku Beta Testers,

We are happy to announce that True Cloud DVR beta is now available for testing on your Roku devices! If you have been helping us test the earlier version, THANK YOU! The True Cloud DVR beta is already available to you.

If you haven’t downloaded the app and you want to get your hands on the latest features, here’s how to get started (detailed instructions attached) to get the latest beta version.

From your mobile device or computer, click on this link.

Sign into your existing Roku device account.

Review and accept permission by clicking[OK].

Click[Yes, add channel].

Now you’re done with your setup.  To access the new channel right away, navigate to your Roku device home screen and select:

Settings System System Update Check Now.  (For older models, select: Settings Player).
