Today FilmRise announced a deal to bring over 200 hours of free content from the National Black Television to its free ad-supported streaming service.

The deal features 331 episodes across 14 series, including the NAACP Image Award-nominee “Love That Girl,” starring Tatiyana Ali (“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Jawbreaker”), Mark Adair-Rios (“Bosch,” “Big Little Lies,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) and Bresha Webb (“Run the World,” “A Fall from Grace”); “Arnold’s Caribbean Pizza,” and “Talk It Up,” among others. Three films are also included in the deal – the action, comedy “Cop and a Badman,” “Gangsta’s Paradise,” and “Rude Boy The Jamaican Don.”

“This deal with National Black Television Media significantly adds to our free offering of Black-led content. We are excited to add this programming to our diverse library of content, especially featuring it on FilmRise Black TV and associated branded FAST channel, which offers the widest library of free content for African-American audiences.” Said Max Einhorn.

Trenten Gumbs of NBT added, “We are excited to have our programming become part of the FilmRise Streaming Network ecosystem. It is important that we offer audiences the option to watch our content via many different avenues – including AVOD and FAST.”

This will add to FilmRise’s 50,000 licensed and originally produced programing. Including a huge library of movies and television shows.
