FilmRise

Today, FilmRise announced the film and television network streaming service has entered a deal with worldwide film distributor Gravitas Ventures that will bring 83 motion pictures to its catalog. The deal gives FilmRise both domestic and international AVOD and SVOD rights to the films in the library.

Some of the films that are part of the acquired library include “An Actor Prepares,” starring Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winner Jeremy Irons (“Reversal of Fortune,” “The Borgias”) and Matthew Modine (“Full Metal Jacket,” “The Dark Knight Rises”), “Hannah,” starring Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years,” “Melancholia”), “Egg,” starring Christina Hendricks (“Mad Men,” “Ginger and Rosa”), and “All Summers End” starring Tye Sheridan (“X-Men: Apocalypse,” “Ready Player One”) Pablo Schreiber (“13 Hours,” “Orange Is the New Black,”) and Kaitlyn Dever (“Booksmart,” “Justified”), among others.

The titles will be available on multiple streaming platforms including The Roku Channel, Tubi, Pluto TV, Peacock, and more, as well as the FilmRise streaming network.

FilmRise continues to expand its offerings with new partnerships. Earlier this year, FilmRise added over 800 hours of children’s content in partnership with Nelvana, plus a distribution agreement with Reel One Entertainment that gave the streaming service rights to over one hundred titles, including original films, and highly popular series.

With a library of over 30,000 movies and television episodes, FilmRise is currently the largest independent provider of content to ad-supported streaming services. The streamer had 31.5 million users in 2020.
