Fawesome is doubling down on free. The ad-supported streaming platform just announced the launch of seven new FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) channels, partnering with major content providers like Lionsgate, Tastemade, and GoPro. It’s the latest step in the platform’s growing mission to offer premium streaming content without the price tag.
The additions expand Fawesome’s lineup to over 80 FAST channels launched in the last year, reinforcing parent company Future Today’s push to become a go-to hub for viewers ditching subscriptions in favor of free content. The new channels span a variety of genres and features everything from hard-hitting news and adventure sports to baking tutorials and Black cinema.
Among the new arrivals:
- Moviesphere and Ebony by Lionsgate, bringing award-winning films and culturally rich storytelling
- Tastemade, packed with foodie favorites and lifestyle inspiration
- GoPro TV, loaded with extreme sports and adrenaline-fueled footage
- Bold Baking Network, a 24/7 baking channel from YouTube star Gemma Stafford
- Sport TV Plus, for live sports and commentary
- Voice of America, offering international news coverage
- Gusto TV, with a focus on global flavors and kitchen know-how
“With this expansion, we’re strategically positioning Fawesome at the intersection of premium content and accessibility,” said Vikrant Mathur, Co-Founder of Future Today. “It’s about meeting viewers where they are and giving them more of what they love – for free.”
Fawesome is currently available on all major smart TVs, mobile devices, and web browsers. In addition to third-party content, the platform is also building its original slate. Recent originals include “Greenwood Rising: The Rise of Black Wall Street,” “The Peanut Man,” and reality-style series like “Southern Food Truck Wars” and “Fawesome Family Game Show.”
As more viewers get fed up with rising subscription prices, the FAST model is gaining traction with Fawesome is positioning itself as a major player in the space. “The market has clearly validated the FAST model,” said David Di Lorenzo, SVP of Kids & Family at Future Today. “This is premium, on-demand TV without the gatekeeping.”
