According to the data collected by fuboTV, the streaming service’s leading demographic is families with parents between the ages of 35-54 who are working professionals, with 2-3 children, most likely including a teenager.
What are people watching? Entertainment makes up 43% of fuboTV’s viewing hours, followed by sports with 33% and news with 24%.
- Diverse Content and Channel Offering: Including sports, news, and entertainment rather than only offering entertainment helps to retain subscribers. fuboTV subscribers watch over 20 channels each month, compared to just 12 with cable TV.
- Options for Add-Ons: Over half of fuboTV subscribers purchase an add-on, with the Cloud DVR add-on topping the list of most popular extras.
- Ability to Stream on Multiple Devices: From TVs to laptops to phones and tablets, families want to watch their content on multiple devices. Over 50% of fuboTV subscribers watch on mobile.
Cord cutting continues to grow as families look for alternatives to watching TV with a high cable bill. In 2020, fuboTV predicts that cord cutting will become more popular as subscribers find the value in a better user experience and more options.
