Today Cord Cutters News has learned from Hoopla Digital that in Spring 2018 they will be adding support for Amazon Alexa Devices. Here are the commands you will be able to ask Alexa:

So what is hoopla digital?

hoopla digital teams up with local libraries to offer free streaming for members of more than 1,600 public library systems across North America. Public libraries are a great resource for cord cutters—not only for free DVD rentals but now also for streaming. The best part is they now have apps on devices like Roku and the Apple TV.

So I wanted to take a bit to show you what you can get with a free membership to hoopla. (The following quick video shows you what hoopla has to offer.)

hoopla has been busy adding new content. Recently it struck a deal with Viacom to add hundreds of popular TV shows from networks such as Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Comedy Central, MTV, Spike, VH1, TV Land, and CMT. Hoopla also struck a deal recently with Paramount to bring a large number of Paramount movies to Hoopla.

So how do you get access to hoopla? You need a library membership. If you want to stream the great library of content, contact your local library and find out if they offer Hoopla. Chances are they do have a free streaming service for members.

If you are a cord cutter make sure to take advantage of your local library. You are paying for it with your taxes so why not take advantage of the services?
