Evoca, the new company aiming to leverage ATSC 3.0 to offer pay TV service, is currently offering early access to its service, with a goal of going live on September 1st in the Treasure Valley area of Idaho. Those who sign on early get a free receiver and antenna, along with a discounted monthly charge of $20 for the rest of the year.

We first reported on Evoca back in April, when Edge Networks initially announced the new service and outlined its goal of using ATSC 3.0, aka NextGen TV, as a platform to offer what Edge Networks President and CEO Todd Achilles called at the time the, “next big leap in television.”

Evoca originally touted it would offer service for less than $50 per month and its regular service price, after the early access discount, does indeed come in at $49 per month. As for its initial lineup, the company is boasting about more than 60 channels at launch with more on the way.

As for its initial lineup, here’s what Evoca has listed so far:

Evoca says it’s also offering on-demand content from a number of services, including:

You can check out the company’s site for more info and if you live in the Treasure Valley area, you can also submit your email and physical addresses to register for an invitation to Evoca’s early access service. We’ll continue to follow Evoca’s launch and it’ll be interesting to see how a pay TV service with an ATSC 3.0 backbone performs.
