Last summer Cord Cutters News did receive copies of an internal survey Hulu was using to get feedback from their subscribers; however, the details in these services likely will not represent the final product.
So here is what we know about the new service.
Price
Hulu Live is expected to cost between $30 and $40 as a starting point.
DVR
There will be a DVR but unlike other services that limit you to the number of days you can keep it Hulu will limit the number of hours you can keep; however, you will be able to pay extra for more DVR time.
Channels
The channel lineup is still vague, but here is what we know. Time Warner has agreed to include Time Warner channels such as TBS, TNT, and CNN but now owns 10% of Hulu.
We also have learned that Disney-owned channels, such as ABC and ESPN, will be included. Also FOX-owned networks, such as FX, will be included, but there has been no word yet about FS1. We do expect FS1 to be a part of the service.
Availability
Hulu is still saying early 2017 for the service. Rumors are starting to fly that we may hear something at CES during the first week of January, but many just expect this to be an announcement similar to how Dish announced Sling at CES but did not release the service until February.
For now that is all we can confirm. Hopefully we will learn more later this month.
