EarthLink is Working on a New Wireless Internet Service for Cord Cutters

EarthLink knows that living an area with limited options for internet providers can be frustrating, often leading to customers paying premium prices for less than stellar internet speeds and bundles of unwanted services. They want to fix that.

We’ve been waiting for EarthLink to create a wireless internet service since the company saw a reboot in January 2019. While we aren’t getting a fixed wireless internet service just yet, we could see a launch as early as the first half of this year.

In the meantime, EarthLink is continuing to do what they do best – providing another alternative to major internet providers, at an affordable price, with excellent customer care.

One area the company is working on improving is customer service. EarthLink leaders know that a pain point for many internet customers is the difficulty of getting on the phone with a real person and having a problem resolved quickly during that call.

They’re working on the concept of single point resolution. The goal is to have a team of trained customer care professionals, ready to take customer calls. When a customer calls in with a problem, the first person they talk to should be able to resolve that problem. This would improve the efficiency of the company’s customer service, but more importantly would relieve the frustration that customers often have with internet providers.

EarthLink recently released data showing that their broadband internet now covers two thirds of US households. If you’re looking for a provider that won’t force you into expensive bundles or shock you with huge price hikes after introductory offers, check to see if EarthLink is offered in your area.
