Disney Will Stream Its One Night Only Broadway Cares Concert

Disney will stream a one night only concert from November 2019, as a fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund. The concert, featuring 79 performers celebrating Disney’s 25 years on Broadway, will stream on April 13.

The event will be streamed at broadwaycares.org, youtube.com/BCEFA, facebook.com/BCEFA, and Playbill.com.

“The event last November was such an unforgettable evening of Disney on Broadway magic,” Broadway Cares Executive Director Tom Viola said in a statement. “We are so grateful to all our friends at Disney Theatrical Productions for generously joining us in sharing this evening again, supporting our entertainment industry friends and colleagues who are out of work and facing serious health and personal challenges due to this devastating coronavirus pandemic.”

Last November, the event took place at the New Amsterdam Theatre, featured a cast of 79 performers and a 15-piece onstage orchestra. The successful celebration raised $570,426 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
