Disney+ Will Premiere ‘Muppets Now’ This Summer

Today, for National Streaming Day, Disney+ has announced that a new original series ‘Muppets Now’ will launch on the streaming platform July 31st.

Some of our favorite Muppets shared the news on Twitter this morning:

‘Muppets Now’ will be the first original series from The Muppets Studio to appear on Disney+. In the six episode season, Scooter rushes to make his delivery deadlines and upload the brand-new Muppet series for streaming. They are due now, and he’ll need to navigate whatever obstacles, distractions, and complications the rest of the Muppet gang throws at him.

Look for guest appearances by familiar characters, and all the silliness and shenanigans we’ve come to know and love from the Muppets.

‘Muppets Now’ was first announced at the annual D23 conference in September 2019. At that time, it was announced that another Muppets show, an 8 episode limited series, called Muppets Live Another Day, was shut down after creators Adam Horowitz, Eddy Kitsis and Josh Gad walked away from the project.  Now that one of the original series planned for the platform is making its debut, we can start looking forward to more Muppets Studio content to come.
