Today Disney+ announced it has reached 86.8 million paid subscribers worldwide as of Dec. 2. The milestone was announced by Disney CEO Bob Chapek during Thursday’s Investor Day Event, who said the streamer has exceeded the company’s “wildest expectations.” Disney+ was previously projected to reach 60-90 million subscribers by 2024. But if things keep progressing as they are now, it will definitely shatter that goal.

The new subscriber count is up a cool 13 million from Disney’s Q4 2020 earnings report, which stated the streaming service had reached 73 million subscribers by its one year anniversary.

Disney also announced Hulu is currently sitting at 38.8 million subscribers, well on its way to the forecasted 40-60 million subs predicted for 2024. ESPN+ has 11.5 million subscribers, which falls within the range of the 8-12 million predicted for four years from now.
