Disney+ Shares Trailer and Premiere Date for the End of Clone Wars

Last summer, before the launch of Disney+, it was announced at ComicCon that Disney would be bringing back Star Wars: Clone Wars for another season. Disney+ has now announced that the final season will begin airing on the streaming service on February 21, 2020.

This morning, Lucasfilm also released a trailer for the final season of the animated series. In the trailer, we get teasers for storylines that we’ve heard about but haven’t yet seen in action. Fans are hoping that after the show was cancelled without getting a proper ending, that this season will tie up loose ends and give the series the ending it deserves.

The Star Wars website says: From Dave Filoni, director and executive producer of The Mandalorian, the new Clone Wars episodes will continue storylines introduced in the original series, exploring the events leading up to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

Created by George Lucas, with Dave Filoni as executive producer/supervising director, Star Wars: The Clone Wars stars Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker, Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano, Dee Bradley Baker as Captain Rex and the clone troopers, James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan, and Sam Witwer as Maul.
