A new announcement from Disney+ showcasing new premieres coming in 2020 confirms the Marvel Comics Universe show WandaVision will be heading to the streaming service before the end of this year. Disney+ tweeted a preview of what’s to come in the following months, mentioning the Marvel show along with other originals like Season 2 of The Mandalorian.

“With the first anniversary of Disney+ on November 12, the service will kick off its second year with even more original entertainment premiering in late 2020 including WandaVision, the upcoming original series from Marvel Studios,” Disney stated in a press release.

Disney+ has yet to release an exact date for the highly anticipated live-action miniseries, but it’s expected to premiere sometime in December. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was originally scheduled on the calendar for August but didn’t make its release date. The series suffered a production shut down this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic which undoubtedly threw a wrench into deadlines. The film was mainly being shot in Atlanta and had a weeklong shooting abroad in Prague that was cut short.

So unless Disney+ pulls a quick trick to release The Falcon and the Winter Soldier before December, WandaVision will be the first of the original MCU content to hit the streamer. Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston is scheduled for 2021.
