Disney is Working On A Second Live-Action Star Wars Show

Today Disney announced that they are working on a second live-action Star Wars show for their new streaming service Disney+. The show will focucs on the Rebellion during the years before ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.’

“The series, which will go into production next year, follows the adventures of rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,’” Disney said in today’s announcement. “Diego Luna will reprise the role of Andor.”

“Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me. I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.” Diego Luna said in a statement released by Disney.

No date has been set for when the show will join Disney+. We still don’t even know when Disney+ will launch other than it will happen in late 2019.
