Disney+ is on Track to Generate $1 Billion Per Month by July 2021

Disney+ has been a whirlwind of a success story so far, recently surpassing 100 million subscribers. Consumers have been ready and willing to adopt the platform into their canon of streaming services from the get-go, as evidenced by this rapid growth. The combination of classic content mixed with new originals and hit series with weekly releases like The Mandalorian, WandaVision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have cemented the streamer’s place as a must-have for families and adults alike.

A new report by Fandom Spot notes that since October 2020, Disney+ has grown its subscribers by 35%, which is equal to a 7.2% average increase month to month. Based on this growth pattern, Disney+ is on track to reach 125 million subscribers in 4 months, generating a staggering $1 billion in revenue every month by July 2021.

This estimate is based on the recent subscription price increase to $7.99/month and doesn’t include any Premiere Access fees other revenue brought in by brand deals and sponsorships.

Disney+ is closing in on other streaming services, like Amazon Prime Video which currently has 150 million subscribers. Netflix still remains king (for now) with a whopping 203 million subscribers.
