Disney+ is Adding ‘Schoolhouse Rock’ to its Library

Later this month, you’ll be able to take a step back into nostalgia as Schoolhouse Rock arrives at Disney+ in all of its short-form glory. The first season will be available to stream starting Jun 19.

Update: Season one hit the streaming service early and is now available to stream on Disney+.

The cartoon originally came about as filler content in between children’s shows on TV, but slowly morphed into more of a short-form series in itself. The series ran during Saturday morning cartoons on ABC from 1973 to 1984. So far there’s no word on whether more seasons will be added at a later date.

These fun and high-energy songs will teach a new generation of fans all about recycling, biodiversity, solar energy, and more. The beloved voices that sang timeless classics such as “I’m Just a Bill” and “Conjunction Junction” are back to sing again in these all-new tunes! Think green and do your part to rock the Earth! It’s the only Earth we’ve got!

Disney+ continues to surprise fans with new additions to its content library each month. During June, the streamer is also adding new movies including Tarzan and Tarzan 2, Avengers: Infinity War, Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy, along with new episodes of Disney Family Sundays and One Day at Disney.
