Disney+ Has Moved Up the Premiere of WandaVision

Disney started the new year with a social media post sharing some of the big plans they have in store for Disney+ this year. Most noteworthy is the premiere of WandaVision, which was originally set to launch in 2021 but has been pushed up to sometime this year.

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, first announced release dates at Comic-Con in San Diego back in July. At that time, he Falcon and the Winter Soldier was set to premiere in Fall 2020, followed by Loki in Spring 2021 and WandaVision also in Spring 2021.

In the one minute long video, Disney gave us a look at some more of the highlights of the 2020 lineup, from second seasons of original series to new movies coming to the streaming platform after leaving theaters.

This year, we’ll be seeing a second season of originals including High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and The Mandalorian. The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will also be available. Lizzie McGuire fans will be happy to see a quick look at Hilary Duff coming back for the show’s revival.

Looking for original movies? Disney+ will be premiering Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were MadeStargirlThe Phineas & Ferb Movie: Candace Against the Universe, Rogue Trip, Becoming, and Secret Society of Second Born Royals throughout the year.

We’ll also see the live action versions of Aladdin and The Lion King, along with Toy Story 4 come to the Disney+ library.
