DISH & Sling TV Drop Blaze TV As The Network Starts to Shutdown its Cable TV Network

Back in November news broke that Glenn Beck’s Blaze TV would be shutting down its live TV network at the end of 2019. Instead, Blaze TV will focus on its video-on-demand subscription streaming service. Now Sling TV and DISH have dropped the network from their lineup as its contract was not renewed.

This all comes as Sling TV added FOX News and moved MSNBC to its Blue core package from its news add-on. Recently Sling TV has made several updates lately, including making limited DVR space available to all users. The DVR was automatically added to all accounts late last week. Sling has also been adding new channels to add-on packages, including Law & Crime, available in News Extra, and Pursuit and Great American Country, available in Heartland Extra.

There are even more current and upcoming changes for Sling TV’s add-on packages:

Some add-on packages will also see price changes:

Earlier this month, the streaming service also added DVR support for ESPN channels and removed DVR restrictions. This means you can now pause, rewind or fast-forward through any recorded programs, and even skip the commercials. Previously, recordings on select channels would automatically redirect viewers to on-demand content, if available.
