Discovery Wants to Be on Hulu, Sling TV, & YouTube TV

Watching tv and using remote controlDiscovery networks has been some of the harder to find networks on streaming services. Well, it is on services like DIRECTV NOW they are still not on many popular streaming services like Sling TV, Hulu, and YouTube TV.

Now it looks like that is about to change as Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav opened up about their plans for live TV streaming services.

This week Discovery’s CEO David Zaslav opened up about plans to add live TV streaming services like Hulu, YouTube TV and Sling TV, and that its “ambition is to be carried on every platform.” Zaslav said “it will be in our mutual interest for our channels to show up on those services.”

This is great news for subscribers that want Discovery on these services. Yet the question is can these channels be added without prices going up. In the case of Sling TV they can offer them as an add-on. For others like Hulu and YouTube that may be an issue.

Recently YouTube TV announced that they are going to be raising their price after adding Turner networks. Now the question is do they have room to add Discovery networks without raising their price. The other question is will Discovery and services like Hulu be able to come to a deal or will they be unable to come to a workable deal for both sides.
