For some years now, many have been wondering with DIRECTV would add 4K streaming to its streaming services. Recently talk of 4K on DIRECTV via internet and DIRECTV STREAM has been heating up as lists for a DIRECTV4K add-on have been popping up in DIRECTV STREAM’s menus.

Now Cord Cutters News has confirmed that DIRECTV via internet will offer a 4K option later on in 2023. Sadly, for now, DIRECTV has only confirmed this new 4K option will be available via the DIRECTV via internet option and DIRECTV STREAM.
DIRECTV via internet is the new name for DIRECTV STREAM if you rent DIRECTV’s streaming player. Prices are slightly cheaper and come with a two-year price lock, but it does come with a $ 15-a-month device rental fee.
4K streaming has become increasingly popular as Fubo and YouTube TV have made it a major selling point.
Currently, we do not know the pricing if any DIRECTV will charge for 4K. Currently, YouTube TV charges $9.99 a month for 4K and some other features. Fubo offers 4K included with its current packages.
No dates have been announced for DIRECTV via internet new 4K option at this time. As we learn more, we will post updates.
