Earlier This DIRECTV confirmed to Cord Cutters News that DIRECTV via internet would also offer 4K later this year. Now DIRECTV has confirmed that DIRECTV STREAM will also offer 4K streaming at the same time. Now DIRECTV vi internet has started to offer 4K.
4K streaming has become increasingly popular as Fubo and YouTube TV have made it a major selling point. Now DIRECTV’s new via internet option will also be offering 4K streaming. Currently limited to a few channels DIRECTV has confirmed to Cord Cutters News that the feature is still rolling out.
Currently, we do not know the pricing if any DIRECTV will charge for 4K for now it seems included in the DIRECTV via internet price. Currently, YouTube TV charges $9.99 a month for 4K and some other features. Fubo offers 4K included with its current packages.
No word yet on when DIRECTV STREAM will officially offer the 4K option. Though some DIRECTV STREAM customers using DIRECTV streaming players have said they are seeing 4K channels now live. Hopefully, 4K will come to DIRECTV STREAM in the future for non-DIRECTV streaming players.
Erlier this year DIRECTV started selling an internet version of DIRECTV’s satellite service. The pricing is the same as the satellite service, but you get fewer channels with DIRECTV internet as its the same packages DIRECTV STREAM already offers. This new option is called DIRECTV via Internet.
DIRECTV’s internet service is just a rebrand of DIRECTV STREAM for anyone who leases DIRECTV’s new streaming player. This new streaming player is an updated version of the DIRECTV STREAM’s old streaming player. Now it seems that thanks to the included streaming player you will also get 4K.
