DIRECTV STREAM Will Raise its Price in April

Today DIRECTV STREAM started to contact customers to inform them that starting April 22nd, their TV price will e going up to 74.99 a month and the popular Choice plan will now cost $99.99 a month.

These price hikes where first announced back in January but now current customers will be hit but the price hike on their next bill after April 22nd.

In an email to customers, DIRECTV STREAM said, “we are reaching out to let you know your DIRECTV STREAM price is increasing on your next bill cycle effective on or after April 22, 2023.”

In a statement to Cord Cutters News, DIRECTV said, “We’re committed to providing our customers the variety of content they want, which is increasingly more costly, as we’re seeing across the pay TV industry.”

For now it seems that all packages will be going up by about $5 a month.

Recently it was reported that the average cable TV package now costs, with all fees and taxes, $217.42 a month. Even with a $50 T-Mobile home internet package, YouTube TV at $72.99 will be far cheaper than cable TV.

Recently, we learned with the newly increased Comcast fees, an Xfinity customer with two TV boxes could easily end up paying over $800 a year in fees in 2023.
